What type of job could I get with a bachelors in Pharmaceutical sciences?

currently i am planning on going to school for pre-med/health science but i am want to apply to pharmacy school. so im thinking of majoring in pharmaceutical sciences. what job would i get with a degree in pharmaceuticals if say i didn't get into pharmacy school?

Hey, I'm in the procress of applying to pharmacy school, and you don't really need a specific major to get in. All pharmacy schools require a list of prerequisite courses that you must take (and do very very well in!) in order to be accepted. The courses vary, but ALL require a year of general biology, general chemistry (both with labs), a year of organic chemistry with labs (good luck with that one ha!), a year of physics (with labs), a course in pyschology and sociology, and calculus, and A&P. Other courses some schools might require might be microbiology, immunology, economics, etc. So like for example, you can major in biology, and get all those prerequisite courses completed, and use that major as a back up plan if you don't get into pharm school! Having taken all those classes, you can apply for med, dental, physical therapy, (etc) schools as back ups because all require basically the same prerequisite courses. If all else fails you can get a masters and apply again, or become a high school biology teacher :-) Good Luck!

You could go into pharmaceutical sales or go into drug discovery (working in a lab making life saving drugs). Also if you cant get into pharmacy school you can always take the MCAT and apply for Med school
