How do I get a managers job without experience?

I'm sick of looking for a job the old fashion way. I want to get a job as a manager of a resturaunt here but i have no manager experience. I've worked in resturaunts for a long time now and i'm sure i could do it. No one will give me a chance. Should i lie on an application to get the job?

That happend to me in Retail. Get your foot in the door and prove yourself I mean learn all that you can and try to see if you can be a manager on dutie when they are there so they can see that you can do it Good luck a LITTLE white lie may never hurt.

Lying on your application will more than likely come back to haunt you. And what about your own integrity? Would you want to work for a manager who is a liar? Experience accounts for something. You can't just start at the top. Get a job in a restaurant and EARN the manager's position. It usually goes through stages, assistant manager first, and when you prove yourself there, then on to management training.
