What kind of job can I look for in a cable network?

I am still working towards a my bachelors degree in English and i currently hate my job because i can't grow in it. Not just that, it has nothing to do with what i want, which is becoming a writer.

I know i cant get in any newspaper because i still have no experience and no diploma, but now i am wondering about cable networks. Do you think there is a position for me there? …Does not necessarily need to be a writer position.

at first i would start with ur local news network and get an internship and hopefully make contacts from there
