Try to help them advertise for shows. Go to an entertainment business and see if they have any openings to do anything. Then you can start networking when you meet famous rappers or people who have the means to take you to the next level.

What job would be good for an 18 yr. old looking to getting in the recording business?
They are busy recording beats to sell, but this young person needs a day job, and something that would be beneficial for his recording business.
