What is the best way to find a job for a teenager who's not satisfied with being a cashier?

I'm 16 and I really need a job soon because I will be getting my lisence soon and I will need to pay for gas when I drive my parents' cars. Being a cashier at some retail store just doesn't look interesting. I've checked on some job websites but they all come up with is jobs for people with a lot of experience and jobs where you need a degree in something.

It depends on where you live, but if you have a local amusement park, they usually hirer teenagers on a seasonal basis. I worked at one from February-December every year for 5 years in high school / college. It was the most fun job I think I could have found at that age.

I suggest you visit the following website: http://baced.us/resources.html. Click on "employer applications/sites" this is a list of many employers who hire ages 16 and up. You cna apply for various different kinds of jobs, such as customer service reps, stockers, package handelers, etc, it all depends on the company and what is available.

Because you are a minor, your options ar elimited. I also suggest you do a search in your area for jobs, using www.indeed.com. use key words such as "stocker," "customer service," "greeter," "office assistant," "Entry Level," and so forth.

Do you have anything you really like to do?

Read, roller skate, ice skate, shop? Why not look for something that corresponds with your hobbies. Bookstore, roller rink, clothing store, Community recreation center, etc.
