Job..................?

hey, im 13 and i wanted to try to get a job for a little extra money in my pocket, i have a wii and my mom made a deal with me that if i can get half the money she will buy me a game or what ever. so i was looking on eBay for like cheep games and stuff and most of the ones i found were around 10 to 30 bucks so i was wondering if i could get a job to come up with my half of the money, any suggestions?

You wouldn't be able to work at a job yet until your 15.

It is illegal to work when you're thirteen.

Jobs you could do to get money though would be, babysitting, paper route, mowing lawns, ect.

I banked babysitting when i was your age! If you don't know anyone post fliers in your neighborhood, especially if you have a neighborhood mailboxes that are all clustered together-thats a high traffic zone which will get alot of attention, also try the pool. Oh if you decide to go the babysitting route, tell your parent(s) that you would like to get your cpr certification-which then will let you up your price. And don't sell yourself short after you gain a little bit of experience, look up prices at local daycares and what not. Hmm i also had a passion for acting when i was your age and made money being an extra in movies, roles for student short films, and local theatre. but if acting would never be your thing, maybe try modeling- did that too easy money, but find yourself a respectable agency and don't search for an agent on your own if you go that route, get parental guidance. :)

It's illegal to hire anyone under the age of 15. I suggest doing odd-jobs for neighbors and family friends.

Dog walking

Chores

Painting

Babysitting

Cleaning

Car Washing

Lawn Mowing

Ask your parents if there's anything you can do to earn the money, and ask them to ask around for you too. Often times if they know you're willing to work for it, they'll give you a little extra just because they know you're trying.

I think babysitting is all you'd be able to do at 13. But you'd make that half of your money pretty fast.
