How to writer a job offering letter to existing employees in corporate type of tone?

My company is buying this other company and we are offering jobs to some of the existing employees there. I need to write a job offering and rejecting letters that are corporation style with no emotion at all. So words like exciting, glad, pleased, etc cannot be used. I've searched for some samples online, but they are for jobs applied by the candidates. How do I write a heartless and professional offering and rejecting letter?

For the winners:

Dear Mr Jones,

With the pending purchase of ABC Corporation due to close on May 1, 2009, we are looking to the future of our organization. To that end, we extend our offer of employment to you in your current position with ABC at the current rate of compensation. This offer is good for 30 days. Please acknowledge your acceptance of the offer by signing below.

To the Lewzers:

Dear Mr. Smith

With the pending purchase of ABC Corporation due to close on May 1, 2009, we are looking to the future of our organization. To that end, we have evaluated our needs and have decided not to extend an offer of employment to you at this time. (Information about termination blah blah blah)
